Softball Recap: Discovery Canyon Thunder vs. Pueblo Central Wildcats
Discovery Canyon fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Pueblo Central on Sunday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pueblo Central Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Thunder were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Saturday.
Bella Holcomb spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on nine hits.
Discovery Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Pueblo Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
