Flag Football Game Preview: St. Paul Swordsmen vs. Bishop Amat Lancers

The St. Paul Swordsmen will head out on the road to take on the Bishop Amat Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (St. Paul 12.7, Bishop Amat 7.7) so any points scored will be well earned.

St. Paul's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Sacred Heart of Jesus by a score of 13-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Swordsmen's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while the Comets are ranked 730th).

Meanwhile, Bishop Amat's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's sixth consecutive shutout on Monday. Everything went their way against Ontario Christian as they made off with a 26-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won ten games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Bishop Amat pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.6 points over those games. As for St. Paul, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
