 The Howell Central Spartans will head out on the road to  challenge  Fort Zumwalt East at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Tuesday, Howell Central made easy work of Liberty  and carried off  an  8-2 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Howell Central.
 Meanwhile, Fort Zumwalt East had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with  a   6-2  victory over the Pirates.
  Evan Hickman looked comfortable as he  pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Aiden Powers-Wheeler, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Braden Weber, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 Howell Central is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-15-1 record  this season. As for Fort Zumwalt East, their win bumped their record up to 21-9.
