Soccer Recap: Calaveras Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Calaveras was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Union Mine Diamondbacks could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Calaveras' draw gives them a new season record of 4-4-1. As for Union Mine, they moved theirs to 1-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calaveras will be home for the holidays to greet Escalon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Union Mine, they will host Liberty Ranch at 6:03 p.m. on Friday. Union Mine's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
