Basketball Game Preview: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Timpanogos Timberwolves

The Hillcrest Huskies and the Timpanogos Timberwolves will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Hillcrest has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight defeats, while Timpanogos will come in with three straight victories.

Hillcrest's tournament run continued when they took on East on Friday. Hillcrest fell 44-33 to East.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Dayana Mulamba, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Sam Sebahar, who earned seven points.

While Timpanogos didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. It was close, but on Fridaythey capped 2024 with a 47-44 win over Summit Academy.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Timpanogos, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Hillcrest came up short against Timpanogos in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 41-29. Can Hillcrest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
