High school football rankings: St. Joseph's Prep finishes No. 1 in final MaxPreps Pennsylvania Top 25

Hawks win eighth state title in last 11 years.
The high school football season in Pennsylvania came to a close over the weekend of Dec. 7-9 with the crowning of six state champions.
St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia) was among the winners, beating North Allegheny (Wexford) for the 6A state football championship. That victory helped propel the Hawks to the No. 1 ranking in the final MaxPreps Pennsylvania Top 25.
With its 45-23 win over the No. 3 Tigers, St. Joseph's Prep (13-1) captured the school's eighth state football title in 11 years and the second in a row. Cincinnati commit
Samaj Jones led the way by throwing for 232 yards and a pair of touchdowns and added 115 yards on the ground and three more scores in the title game.
Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia) finished No. 2 in the state after defeating No. 5 Peters Township (McMurray) 38-13 in the 5A state championship game. Army commit
Mikal Davis Jr. led Imhotep by throwing for 184 yards and a touchdown and running for 70 yards and three more scores.
Belle Vernon takes the No. 7 spot in the Keystone State after beating Northwestern Lehigh (New Tripoli) 38-7 in the 3A state championship.
