Basketball Game Preview: Springtown Porcupines vs. Eagle Mountain Knights

The Springtown Porcupines will head out on the road to square off against the Eagle Mountain Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Springtown is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 60 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Decatur on Friday. They were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 61-18. While losing is never fun, the Porcupines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 577th, while the Eagles are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, Eagle Mountain slipped by Krum 58-57 on Friday.

Springtown's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Eagle Mountain, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-17.

Springtown didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Eagle Mountain in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Porcupines since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
