Football Recap: Master's Academy Falls Short of Cambridge Christian in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Master's Academy can now relate to. The matchup between the Patriots and the Cambridge Christian Lancers didn't end well, with the Patriots falling 28-14.

Although Master's Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Jamey Blunt and Grady Kovaleski.

Cambridge Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah LeGrande led the charge by rushing for 130 yards and one score while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. LeGrande also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making one tackle. Another player making a difference was Cooper Griffey, who rushed for 61 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Master's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cambridge Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Master's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cambridge Christian, they will square off against St. Edward's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
