It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rayne ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Vermilion Patriots, sneaking past 4-2. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 4-0 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.
Peyton Daigle spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.
