Volleyball Recap: Rushville-Industry Extends Winning Streak to Three

Rushville-Industry had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Astoria/VIT Rebels. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rebels, too.

While Rushville-Industry won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

Devin Vogler paced Rushville-Industry's offense, picking up 11 kills. Vogler got some help from Italee Ford and her 24 assists. Vogler also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lainy Greer, each putting up two.

Rushville-Industry's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Astoria/VIT, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

Rushville-Industry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Midwest Central on the 11th. As for Astoria/VIT, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Riverton on the 11th.
