Corunna posted their closest victory since August 21st on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Brandon Blackhawks 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Cavaliers: when they faced off against the Blackhawks back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Corunna was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (111-102), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 27-25, 11-25, 23-25, 16-14.

Zoey Sellers-King paced Corunna's offense, picking up 17 kills. Sellers-King got some help from Mackenzie Lecureaux and her 18 assists. Sellers-King also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Rachel Steinacker, each putting up two.

Corunna's win bumped their record up to 10-12-4. As for Brandon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Coming up, Corunna will be taking part in a tournament against Millington at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Brandon has already played their next contest (against Dexter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
