Perry-Lecompton managed to slip by Nemaha Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Kaws came up short against the Thunder on Monday, falling 12-2. The Kaws' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Perry-Lecompton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Houston Habiger, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was Habiger's first of the season.

Perry-Lecompton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Nemaha Central, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Looking ahead, Perry-Lecompton will take on Hiawatha on Monday. As for Nemaha Central, they will square off against Holton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something the Thunder will no doubt try to take advantage of.
