Carroll County came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Floyd County Buffaloes. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Carroll County pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Floyd County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.
