Softball Recap: Harlan Comes Up Short

Harlan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sioux City East Black Raiders. If the Cyclones were looking for revenge after losing 17-7 to the Black Raiders when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harlan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Sioux City East, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Harlan has already played their next matchup, a 10-3 loss against Denison-Schleswig on the 12th. Sioux City East has also already played their next game (against Sioux City North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
