Volleyball Recap: Covington Takes a Loss

Covington saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marlin Bulldogs.

While Covington ultimately came up short, they really made Marlin work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 28-26.

Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Marlin, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Covington will be taking part in a tournament against Normangee at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Marlin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Groesbeck on the 21st.
