Dowagiac strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Three Rivers Wildcats. This was payback for the Chieftains, who suffered a 16-13 loss the last time these two teams met.

Bree Campbell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Campbell was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Marlie Carpenter was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Olivia McIntosh was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Dowagiac hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matchups.

Dowagiac's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Three Rivers, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Dowagiac will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
