Springfield Township extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Nathan Torrealba. The Spartans blew past the Lower Moreland Lions, posting a 42-14 victory with plenty of help from Torrealba, who threw for 212 yards and six touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 125 yards on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Springfield Township's record now sits at 3-0. As for Lower Moreland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springfield Township will square off against Father Judge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lower Moreland, they will challenge Jenkintown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Lions' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
