Soccer Game Preview: Lewisville vs. York Prep

Lewisville hasn't had much luck against York Prep recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lewisville Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the York Prep Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Lewisville will be strutting in after a victory while York Prep will be coming in after a defeat.

Lewisville took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Clinton, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Lions were the better team in the second half.

Abel Cortes and Marcel Fee scored both of Lewisville's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, York Prep fell victim to Heathwood Hall Episcopal and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly two goals.

Lewisville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for York Prep, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
