The Hawthorne Christian Defenders enjoyed a cozy 43-25 victory over Abundant Life Academy. The win was just business as usual for the Defenders, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

When it comes to explaining why Abundant Life Academy lost, don't look at Jaelle Vital. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Vital has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Yohanah Morvan, who posted two points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Hawthorne Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
