The result was an unpleasant reminder to Springfield Southeast of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Springfield Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-16-2. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 5-14-1.
