It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverton Parke can now relate to. They were beaten by the South Putnam Eagles 44-6 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Riverton Parke lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kyle Price, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Leading South Putnam to victory were Ty Benton and Wyatt Mullin. Benton rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, while Mullin rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown. With that strong performance, Benton is now averaging an impressive 101.3 rushing yards per game. Bransyn Ensor did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 94 receiving yards.

With the defeat, Riverton Parke broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4. As for South Putnam, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Riverton Parke does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Putnam, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 60-19 victory against Sheridan on the 15th.
