Carmel waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Alisal Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

Carmel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-21.

Nate Campbell paced Carmel's offense, picking up 18 kills. Campbell got some help from Zack Speakman and his 41 assists. Finally, Speakman was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.
