Boulder City came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by Virgin Valley and fell 56-20. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-12.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Francis Mariani, who threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns. Boulder City is 4-1 when Mariani posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pahrump Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 57-26 win over The Meadows School. Considering the Trojans have won five contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Pahrump Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Boulder City, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

Boulder City was taken down by Pahrump Valley 55-20 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Trojans' Kayne Horibe, who threw for 331 yards and five TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 42 yards and one score.
