It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Volcano Vista ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Piedra Vista Panthers by a score of 4-1. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Volcano Vista's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Gonzales, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.

Volcano Vista has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Piedra Vista, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-5.
