Basketball Recap: Aletheia Christian Academy Lions vs. Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors
The Aletheia Christian Academy Lions lost against the Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Aletheia Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 49-21 loss at the hands of the Warriors. Aletheia Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Aletheia Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Katelyn Davis scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Bella Simmons was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Pensacola Christian Academy was led to victory by Genesis Coker and Lauren Porter. Coker scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Porter dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Porter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Adams, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Aletheia Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Aletheia Christian Academy will be playing at home against the Gladiators at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
