The Ballston Spa Scotties will square off against the Troy Flying Horses at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Ballston Spa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2  runs per game  this season.
Bethlehem Central hit Ballston Spa with a six-run seventh inning  on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Scotties fell just short of the Eagles by a score of  10-9. The Scotties have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Madelyn Perrone was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with three  runs and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Ava Boni, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Troy waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  an   8-7 W against the Crusaders. The Flying Horses' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Troy now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ballston Spa, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
 Everything went Ballston Spa's way against Troy in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, as Ballston Spa made off with  a  10-1 victory. Do  the Scotties have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Flying Horses turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
