Baseball Game Preview: Elkhorn Elks vs. Westosha Central Falcons

For the second straight game, Elkhorn will face off against Westosha Central. The Elks will face off against the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Westosha Central hit Elkhorn with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Elks fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 6-4. The Elks have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

For Westosha Central's part, they got a great performance from Brody Schulte as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Schulte has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Max Nottingham was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since April 4th. Everett Lucero also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Westosha Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Elkhorn, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
