Canyon View is 8-2 against Richfield since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Falcons will take on the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Canyon View and three for Richfield.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Canyon View duked it out with North Sanpete on Monday. The Falcons lost 11-1 to the Hawks.

Canyon View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton King, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Richfield came up short against Manti on Monday, falling 18-11. Even if the Wildcats couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Richfield got a massive performance out of Macie Barton, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Mataiya Murray was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Canyon View's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Richfield, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Canyon View hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Richfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Canyon View couldn't quite get it done against Richfield in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 7-3. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
