Basketball Game Preview: Town of Webb Timberwolves vs. Poland Tornadoes

The Town of Webb Timberwolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Poland Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Town of Webb will face Poland after dropping another heartbreaker against Oriskany on Thursday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within 3.1 of beating them. Town of Webb took a hard 47-33 fall against Oriskany. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while the Redskins are ranked 176th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poland). They really took it to Remsen for the full four quarters, racking up a 79-45 win. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Town of Webb dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Poland, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Town of Webb came up short against Poland when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 46-41. Can Town of Webb avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
