Dezmond Chumley and Jamycal Hasty provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Mesquite. The connection went for 74 yards, the longest such play in 5A Region II District 12 this season.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Horn beat Lee 48-21. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Jaguars.

Longview's dynamic duo of Chumley and Dorian Leonard proved to be unstoppable against the Skeeters, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Chumley threw for 230 yards and 5 touchdowns and Leonard had 107 yards receiving.

He went 11-19 with 0 interception.

Horn's Destri White and Jarrison Stewart have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. White has thrown for 1,048 yards this season, while Stewart, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 22 catches for 353 yards. The Lobos' Hasty leads the league in rushing yards with 774.

A big matchup in 5A Region II District 12 this week will be when Mike Overton's team takes on Rockwall. As it stands, the Jaguars are in second, while the Yellowjackets are in fifth.

Rockwall scaled the state rankings by moving to 67 from 116 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Rodney Webb's team was able to move up by defeating Rockwall-Heath 24-20.
