Football Recap: Lake Mary Piles Up the Points Against North Miami Beach

Lake Mary won the last time they faced North Miami Beach and things went their way on Friday too. The Rams took their game with ease, bagging a 45-13 victory over the Chargers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rams' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Chargers are ranked 191st).

Lake Mary's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Grubbs led the charge by throwing for 259 yards and four TDs. What's more, Grubbs racked up 121 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Oshea Faison helped Grubbs out on the ground, picking up 76 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 37 yards.

The win made it two in a row for Lake Mary and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 35 points. As for North Miami Beach, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Mary will challenge Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 936 yards in their previous games. As for North Miami Beach, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Carol City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
