With a playoff win on the line, Lakeland rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kathleen Red Devils. The Dreadnaughts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Devils, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lakeland was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-2, 25-12.

Alyvia Taylor paced Lakeland's offense, picking up six kills. Taylor got some help from Sophia Sasser and her 13 assists. Sasser was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Lakeland pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Kathleen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

Lakeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Bartow on the 15th. Kathleen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
