Hereford won the last time they faced Dumas and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Whitefaces had just enough and edged out the Demons 7-6.

Gavin Hill was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Hill was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brix Machen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Ethan Subealdea was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Hereford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Hereford is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Dumas, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hereford will take on rival Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dumas is set to challenge their familiar foe Perryton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
