Baseball Game Preview: Santiago Sharks vs. Corona Panthers

For the second straight game, Santiago will face off against Corona. The Sharks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Santiago has won five straight at home, while Corona won 11 straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.

Santiago is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Corona just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-3.

For Corona's part, Mason Sims tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Sims has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brady Ebel was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Santiago's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Corona, their victory bumped their record up to 18-1.
