Preview: Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers vs. Florida Prep Falcons
The Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Florida Prep Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. Melbourne Central Catholic has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
Last Monday, it was a hard-fought match, but Melbourne Central Catholic had to settle for a 49-46 loss against Mater Brighton Lakes Academy. The loss was Melbourne Central Catholic's first of the season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tristan Hamilton, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for he. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Deane, who scored 21 points.
Meanwhile, Florida Prep had to suffer through a rough 65-23 loss at the hands of Brevard Christian.
Melbourne Central Catholic's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1. As for Florida Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything went Melbourne Central Catholic's way against Florida Prep in their previous meeting back in January as Melbourne Central Catholic made off with a 64-41 win.
