Basketball Recap: Riverside-Brookfield's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Riverside-Brookfield came into Tuesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Ridgewood Rebels by a score of 45-32 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-22 back in December of 2024.

Riverside-Brookfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Ridgewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Riverside-Brookfield and Ridgewood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Riverside-Brookfield (ranked 503rd) will meet West Chicago (ranked 196th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Ridgewood (ranked 472nd) will meet Glenbard South (ranked 46th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
