Softball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King lost against Flour Bluff back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The King Mustangs came up short against the Flour Bluff Hornets, falling 21-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Flour Bluff, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Coming up, King will be playing in front of their home fans against Gregory-Portland at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. King has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Flour Bluff, they are taking a road trip to square off against Corpus Christi Moody at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
