Volleyball Recap: North Takes a Loss

North lost against Alhambra back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-19 in the first set.

North started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-12, 25-13, 25-19.

Jerome Buckner paced North's offense, picking up 17 kills. Buckner were helped by Leonel Ortiz and Jose Garcia, who contributed 14 assists each.

This is the second loss in a row for North and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Alhambra, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13.

North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Central on the 17th. As for Alhambra, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Glendale on the 17th.
