Softball Recap: Bard Comes Up Short

If Bard was feeling good fresh off their 22-1 takedown of American History on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raptors lost 9-3 to the Payne Tech Lions on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in April.

Bard has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Payne Tech, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Bard by a score of 9-2 later that day.
