Volleyball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Beats Bonanza for Their Third Straight Win

Sunrise Mountain hadn't done well against Bonanza recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Sunrise Mountain had just enough and edged out Bonanza 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Miners, who have now won three matchups in a row.

While Sunrise Mountain might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Bonanza scored at least nine points in every set they played. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 21-25, 15-9.

Sunrise Mountain got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Angel Torres out in front who had 14 assists and 12 digs. Those 12 digs gave Torres a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christian Nevarez, who had 19 digs and one assist.
