South Point gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against the East Lincoln Mustangs by a score of 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Olivia Easton paced South Point's offense, picking up 15 kills. Easton got some help from Ava Cooper and her 23 assists. Cooper was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.
East Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
South Point will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for East Lincoln, they will take on Bandys at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
