Baseball Game Preview: South Plantation Paladins vs. Cooper City Cowboys

South Plantation hasn't had much luck against Cooper City recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Paladins will square off against the Cowboys at 3:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, South Plantation came up short against Deerfield Beach and fell 4-1.

South Plantation got a good showing from Benjamin Coffey, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Coffey has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Cooper City made easy work of Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday and carried off an 11-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Flying L's: they've now won five in a row.

Cooper City's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for South Plantation, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

South Plantation couldn't quite get it done against Cooper City in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 4-1. Can the Paladins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
