Recap: Canterbury Crusaders vs. Academy at the Lakes Wildcats
The Canterbury Crusaders entered their tilt with the Academy at the Lakes Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Canterbury snuck past Academy at the Lakes with a 45-41 win on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Canterbury also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Canterbury to victory, but perhaps none more so than MacKenzie Tucker, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Zy'nasia Alhuzaifi, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
The victory got Canterbury back to even at 6-6. As for Academy at the Lakes, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canterbury will take on Northside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Academy at the Lakes, they will play host again and welcome Hernando Christian Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
