Basketball Recap: Jackson Memorial Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Jackson Memorial Jaguars came up short against the Neptune Scarlet Fliers and fell 56-48.

Christa Ramos was her usual excellent self, putting up 27 points and three steals for Neptune. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ramos has scored at least a third of Neptune's points. Bre Evans was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Jackson Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Neptune, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5.

Jackson Memorial will host Wall Township at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday. As for Neptune, they will square off against Point Pleasant Boro at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
