Chris Hooper posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
