Soccer Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 4-2 to the Cedar Falls Tigers. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Cedar Falls are ranked 41st).

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Cedar Falls, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6-2.

Jefferson has already played their next game, a 5-3 win against Ottumwa on the 15th. As for Cedar Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Wahlert on the 15th.
