Baseball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Coronado's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Arlington Lions on Monday. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Arlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Coronado will be taking part in a tournament against La Jolla Country Day at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. La Jolla Country Day's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Coronado's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Arlington, they will challenge Gahr at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Gahr will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Arlington surely won't give up without a fight.
