Recap: Childress Bobcats vs. Gruver Greyhounds
The Childress Bobcats lost to the Gruver Greyhounds back in December of 2020, but the Childress Bobcats didn't allow the Gruver Greyhounds the same satisfaction on Saturday. Childress took down Gruver 47-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Childress.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Childress to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kar'Leigh Husband, who scored 15 points. Clarissa Gamboa was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
Childress' victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Gruver, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Childress will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Vernon at 6:15 p.m. on December 5th. Vernon is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Gruver, they will head out on the road to face off against Caprock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caprock presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Gruver in Texas (Caprock is ranked 132nd, while Gruver is ranked 1056th).
