Softball Recap: Berkeley Springs Takes a Loss

Berkeley Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears, falling 13-3.

Berkeley Springs saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alaira Harrington, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Berkeley Springs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Berkeley Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Fairmont Senior, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Coincidentally, Berkeley Springs and Fairmont Senior will both be playing Grafton the next time they take the field. Berkeley Springs will head out to face Grafton at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Fairmont Senior will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
