It was a good run, but Coastal Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs. If the Stingrays were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jack Hough paced Coastal Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Hough got some help from Cole Sulouff and his eight assists.

Coastal Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for San Dieguito Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Coastal Academy has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Ramona on the 15th. As for San Dieguito Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Fallbrook on the 15th.
